When you think of France many things come to mind; the Paris, Eiffel Tower, great food, snobby people, and wine. According to the new issue of Human Ecology you can now add beer-making to that list. An article in the magazine reports that new discoveries prove that the French were brewing beer in the Iron Age 2.500 years ago. The brew seems to have closely resembled modern brews since it was made with malted barley. Little else is known about how the beer may have tasted.
