By many accounts, not much happens in Fargo, ND. Sure there was that movie by the Coen Brothers, but else is really going on? Nada, that’s what. You can’t even get a decent beer. Which is why a small group of locals banded together to put together the Fargo Beer Company, a craft brewery that will produce fresh, local beer for thirsty North Dakotains. Eventually, the brewery will have four beers but, the IPA was a natural first choice.
And, in an amusing twist worthy of a Coen Brothers film, the gang of four partners has decided to name their first brew, an India Pale Ale, Wood Chipper. This, of course, is a tongue in cheek reference to the pivotal plot point of the movie Fargo, in which Frances McDormand’s pregnant Sheriff character observes a criminal feeding a body into… well you get where this is going.
Wood Chipper is only available on draft in about a dozen Fargo establishments.
